What is reading fluency?

Fluent readers read with better accuracy, speed, and expression.

Compared to nonfluent readers (who have skills in vocabulary or syntax), fluent readers master the text much better. They understand the meaning, context, tone, as well as author’s intentions.

Reading Assistant cooperated with We Are Teachers in developing a simple visual guide to reading fluency.
