Prime members can save up to $50 on the Kindle, but there are also other equally interesting Kindle-related deals that all Amazon customers can get.
If you are a Kindle lover, Prime Day is probably not your favorite shopping event. You have to sign up for Amazon Prime ($12.99 per month) to get the Kindle e-reader for a reduced price. And that’s basically it.
Amazon Prime is the best option for users who love watching movies or order a lot of physical goods. If you are an avid book reader, and the Kindle is your preferred way of reading books, you will most probably want Kindle Unlimited – but this is a different subscription.
Below, we’ve put together a list of most interesting Kindle-related deals that you can find on Amazon during Prime Day 2019. The event takes place on July 15 and 16, with thousands of deals across almost all categories.
What you have to keep in mind is that at that time Amazon runs a lot of other deals, that are available to all customers, not only Prime members. You can find them in the usual place: Amazon Gold Box.
For the first time, you will see in the list below the Kindle deals split into two parts: the ones addressed exclusively for Prime members, and the ones available for all Amazon customers.
As you will see, except price cuts on Kindle models, there is not that much to choose from for Prime members.
Two Kindle models are discounted, and you can save up to $50 on the Kindle Paperwhite. The offered Kindle price cuts for Prime Day 2019 are exactly as we predicted.

Kindle deals for Prime members
$30 off the basic Kindle (2019 model)
The newest entry-level Kindle features a long-expected and very helpful front light, which will let you read in the dark without the need to use a detachable reading lamp.
Plus, there is a display with better contrast, smoother design, and two color options to choose from Black or White.
The regular price is set at $89.99 (compared to $79.99 of the previous-generation model). Prime members can get the device for only $59.99 during Prime Day 2019. The saving is $30 – enough for a solid Kindle case (original or third-party).
Three months of Kindle Unlimited free of charge is added to the e-reader, but this offer is available for all customers, not only Prime members.
Deal status: Active during Prime Day 2019 – July 15 and 16.
Save up to $50 on Kindle Paperwhite 4 (2018)
Kindle Paperwhite 4 was launched in November 2018. It is waterproof, bearing an IPX8 rating. It can withstand immersion in 2 meters of fresh water for 60 minutes.
Thanks to a Bluetooth module, the latest-generation Paperwhite can play Audible audiobooks via collected earphones or speakers. Plus, the device features a glass front, making it look similar to Kindle Voyage.
The basic variant (8 GB, Wi-Fi, with special offers) costs normally $129.99, but during Prime Day 2019 you can buy it for $84.99 ($45 saving). You can save even $50 on more expensive variants.
It’s worth noting that for the first time Amazon sets different price cuts for different versions of the same device.
Deal status: Active during Prime Day 2019 – July 15 and 16.
Get Kindle Oasis 2 for $174.99
The newest 3rd-generation Kindle Oasis has launched three weeks ago, with adjustable warm light as the main upgrade. Although already available for pre-order, this model will be released on July 24th.
However, Prime members can save on the earlier Kindle Oasis model. This Prime-exclusive offer comes as a surprise, as it was not earlier announced by Amazon.
The price of Kindle Oasis 2 (a version with ads and 8 GB) is slashed to $174.99 from $249.99, which means you save $75 (30% of the regular price).
There is also a Kindle Oasis 2 deal for regular Amazon customers, so keep on reading.
Deal status: Active during Prime Day 2019 – July 15 and 16.
Get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free
This Kindle Unlimited offer is disappointing. You can get three months of the subscription for free, which means you save $29.97.
The offer will automatically renew, for $9.99 per month, so you have to make up your mind whether this subscription is your thing. If not, you can always choose from over 2,000 free Kindle books and magazines available within your Amazon Prime membership in the Prime Reading catalog.
You can get the same free Kindle Unlimited plan if you buy any of the currently available Kindle e-readers.
Deal status: The end of the deal is not specified.
Get $5 when you spend $20 on Kindle ebooks
This Prime-exclusive offer lets you save on Kindle ebooks you buy through July 14, 2019. Hurry up, Sunday is the last moment to take advantage of the deal!
If you buy Kindle ebooks that cost more than $20 in total, you will get $5 back in ebook credit.
The offer does not apply to pre-ordered Kindle ebooks, digital magazines, or Audible audiobook companions.
Deal status: Valid through Sunday, July 14.
Kindle deals for all Amazon customers
Save up to 80% on over 1,000 Kindle books
This ongoing deal section lists popular Kindle books that got price cuts reaching 80%. The list is refreshed every month.
The July catalog is usually more attractive than in other months. It’s not only because of Prime Day, but also the fact that a lot of users are looking for books to add to their summer reading lists.
Several books by Robert Dugoni and Rachel Caine top the list. For Dugoni’s The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell, you will pay $1.99 instead of $5.99. Three books from Stillhouse Lake thriller series by Rachel Caine are $1.99 each ($5.99).
You can find books from Macmillan and HarperCollins on the list. The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe costs $3.99 instead of $18.99.
Deal status: Valid through July 31.
Over 800 deals on Kindle-exclusive books
This deal section lists the books that were published exclusively in the Kindle Store, so you won’t find them in any other ebookstore.
It has to be pointed out that these deals are exclusive to the Kindle Store, not Prime. It means that all Kindle users can take advantage of them.
Over 800 titles are currently featured, with price cuts reaching 75%.
Deal status: The list is refreshed every week.
Get $25 toward a new Kindle with trade-in
Anyone who is ready to upgrade an old Kindle can get $25 promotional credit plus Amazon Gift Card.
How does it work? It’s simple. Describe the condition of your current Kindle model, ship it to Amazon for free, get paid and buy a new Kindle.
There are no shipping or other fees. When submitting a trade-in, customers will print a free pre-paid shipping label for sending in all items. If a trade-in item is not accepted and is returned, there is no cost for return shipping.
Deal status: Ongoing.
Save huge on Kindle editions of 50 books turned into movies
It’s one of the most attractive Kindle Daily Deals in months. Over 50 popular books – the ones that were turned into movies and TV series among them – are available for Kindle at prices set between $1.99 and $4.99 each.
On the list, you will find Career of Evil, the 3rd book in the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith ($3.99), Philip K. Dick’s The Man in the High Castle ($2.99), and The Shack by William P. Young ($3.99).

Save $50 on Kindle Oasis 2 (previous-generation)
The newest 3rd-generation Kindle Oasis will be released on July 24th. However, you can save on the previous-generation Kindle Oasis, which is almost the same as the newer model but lacks the warm light control.
Kindle Oasis 2 is still offered by Amazon. The price is reduced to $199.99 for the version with special offers and 8 GB of internal memory. Compared to the list price of $249.99, it’s a saving of $50 (20%).
If you buy the Kindle Oasis 2, you will be eligible to get the 3-month Kindle Unlimited plan free of charge (the subscription will auto-renew afterward for $9.99/month).
Deal status: The end date is not revealed.
