Recently, the company has introduced a long-expected app for Android. This gave an opportunity to compare reading habits of users of the two most popular mobile platforms. Oyster collected the facts in an interesting infographic.
Android readers are more likely to reach for health books, while iOS users prefer to read about how to influence people.
iOS readers read mostly before sleep, and during lunchtime. Android owners read in the evenings, and they tend to read long into the night.
As Digital Book World noticed:
Android Oyster users read a page every 20 seconds, versus 26 for iOS users. Android users also read for longer, averaging 8.5 minutes per session, versus 6.5 minutes per session for iOS users. Doing a bit of math, that means that Android users read about 25.5 pages per session and iOS users read about 15.
